Accomplishments
- Performed hundreds of
medical data conversions from a wide variety of legacy software systems.
- Designed and implemented
virtual private networking (VPN) solutions for medical and manufacturing
clients to allow secure network communications between geographically
distant sites. Physicians and radiologists use these networks to
securely access patient data, voice recognition equipment, and imagery.
Manufacturing clients use our VPNs to tie remote locations to headquarters.
- Worked extensively with
secure wireless (802.11/a/b/g/n) networks to provide mobile data connections
in manufacturing and medical environments.
- Co-designed and implemented a comprehensive medical billing
package in the C programming language, under the UNIX operating system. This system
includes a color, window based user interface on ASCII terminals. The data entry screens
have full screen search capability, context sensitive help, visual selection lists, and
required fields validation. The system is layered on a relational database model, with
full referential integrity, and performs unattended backups. Mr. Williams owns a portion
of the intellectual rights of all tools used to develop the medical software.
- Integrated a Xerox Docutech 135 printer into a Novell
Netware and SUN NFS network for a local publishing company.
- Developed a set of filters in AWK that converted ANSI XJ12
EDI transactions into printed reports. These tools were integrated into an accounting
system, and used to communicate requests for quotes from Chrysler Corporation to one of
it's suppliers.
- Designed an automated DOS to UNIX file transfer system,
using public domain telecommunications software, for a paint manufacturing facility. This
system transferred shipping information from the paint manufacturer to a large truck
manufacturer's facility.
- Designed and implented a project to convert medical billing
data from one system to another for a billing service in Dublin, OH. Assisted another
Dublin concern with the conversion of their customer and vendor data from SYMAN accounting
package to Macola.
- Assisted in the design and implementation of a multi-user,
Informix based, medical billing package. This package runs under the UNOS operating system
on Charles River Data Systems Universe 68 hardware.
- Provided a wide variety of support services (hardware and
software), including end user and regional technical support.
- Performed hardware maintenance on a large population of
peripherals, personal computers, minicomputers, and mainframes, in Central and
Southeastern Ohio, and West Virginia. Assisted with the sale of hardware maintenance
contracts for a variety of systems and peripherals.
